Are you an Artist?

Rose Gallery is delighted to sell high quality representational art on your behalf.  This could be individual pieces, or as part of an ongoing relationship.  We can also organise solo exhibitions to present your work, and build up your profile.

But the first thing is to see whether we are a good ‘fit’: if you like the sort of art that you see on this website and would be interested in working with us, upload sample images of your paintings, give us a brief description of what else you have, and provide your contact details.

If we agree to try to sell your art, then we will discuss terms and arrangements.

1. This agreement is made between Rose Gallery and [your name] on [date].
2. Rose Gallery shall exhibit, advertise and offer for sale such artworks as agreed in writing between Rose Gallery and [your name].
3. Rose Gallery shall offer such artworks for sale at a price agreed between Rose Gallery and [your name]. Rose Gallery shall have discretion to sell an artwork at a discount of not more than 10%, unless otherwise agreed in writing between [your name] and Rose Gallery.
4. Rose Gallery and [your name] shall share equally in the net proceeds of sale, after any applicable sales tax, credit card or similar charges, and any costs of shipping and handling. Rose Gallery will pay [your name] their share of the net proceeds of sale within 30 days of their receiving the full sum from the purchaser
5. [Your name] warrants that all artworks supplied to Rose Gallery are the unencumbered property of [your name] and free of inherent vice; and remain the property of [your name] until sold.
6. [Your name] will not offer for sale any of their artworks exhibited, advertised or offered for sale by Rose Gallery within six months of Rose Gallery having done so.
7. All artworks provided by [your name] to Rose Gallery shall framed and mounted as appropriate by [your name], at [your name]’s expense.
8. [Your name] shall pay the costs of transporting artworks to (and if unsold, from) the location where they are to be held and/or exhibited by Rose Gallery.
9. If there is an exhibition opening featuring [your name], [your name] shall attend at their own expense, and Rose Gallery shall give [your name] no less than 30 days notice of this date. The cost of hosting the exhibition will be paid by Rose Gallery.
10. Artworks held by Rose Gallery shall be insured by Rose Gallery for the benefit of [your name] against all peril, in an amount equal to one half of the artwork’s listed retail value.
11. This agreement shall remain in force in respect of each artwork from the time Rose Gallery receives [your name]’s artwork until six months after that artwork has been either sold or has returned to [your name]’s possession. Rose Gallery will not normally retain any artwork beyond six months, but will do so if agreed with [your name] in writing.
12. In the event of dispute, the Law Courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.
